Ascensus' work in the NHS has been covered by Publichtechnology.net following an interview with editor Jon Wilcox http://www.publictechnology.net/sector/nhs-health/ascensus-sets-sights-ascending-nhs-space |
The CMS system is unique in the marketplace today.
It allows EMMA to seamlessly deliver online bookings and quick, accurate bookings, no matter how complex the contract with the client. It understands policies and contracts that allow you not only to define a price for a product or appointment, but also limits and rules. These rules allow the price and availability of a product to be set up based on the following rules:
Charges for either companies or insurance companies are sent to their own central ledger allowing you to centralise billing for all your locations. Of course, if you prefer to filter the charges by location or date then this is also possible. This technology is totally integrated throughout EMMA and makes bookings an incredibly simple process, rather than one that requires detailed knowledge of 'Who is allowed to have what.'

Health Screening and Corporates
The system was developed with Health screening and corporate contracts in mind, but is equally applicable to membership schemes and promotional discounts as rules can be activated and deactivated at preset times years in advance.
Example
You can control the price of an appointment so that, for example
Men over the age of 41 in your London clinic are allowed a health screen for £100 if booked on a Monday between 10:33 and 12:50 or a Tuesday in Bristol between 8:00 and 12:00 otherwise it will cost £120 unless they are over 51 in which case it will cost £140 or if they are a member in which case it will cost £80. The appointment must always be booked more than 3 days in advance and only one appointment is allowed per year.
