Servers
Ascensus can design, provide and deploy server solutions for our clients either in a hosted environment or on site. We have many years' experience in the use of virtualisation technologies as well as high availability server design and backups. We are a Sun Microsystems partner and recommend (and use) their servers because of their outstanding reliability and low power consumption.
We can also leverage our partner Conosco's expertise and substantial manpower to design and support enterprise level solutions for larger clients.
Touchscreen Kiosks
As part of the EMMA platform we have software designed that can be integrated with both the practice management and PAS systems allowing patients to book and manage appointments, classes and patient details through the kiosk therefore saving time at front of house.
Through our partnership with Boxx Technologies we can offer a range of touchscreens from simple screens through to customised full standing touchscreen kiosks. These can then be integrated with barcode scanners which allows clients to provide patients with cards which can be introduced in line with the membership scheme in EMMA.
Thin Clients
As EMMA is a web based platform, you don't actually need a full PC to run it. A simple thin client with little more than a web browser will run EMMA at full speed and with nothing on the system to crash or go wrong. Thin client technologies are developing all the time and the latest version of the Atom family of processors allow netbooks and similar machines to be excellent EMMA systems.
