The EMMA labs system integrates an HL7 translator which means that it can speak directly to any standards based Lab. This includes HCA Labs and TDL in London.
EMMA maintains a list of the tests available to you at the lab of your choice and allows you to quickly print a requisition form with the lab code of the clinician as well as all the details required by the lab.
The results are then sent back to your system electronically and inserted into the Journal with a task sent to the Lab users so that they can be reviewed and the patient notified.
Out of bounds results are colour coded for ease of viewing and the whole result set can be printed in one go on a customisable form so they can be given to the patient or another clinician if required.
