Pricing

EMMA is available to purchase directly from us, or from one of our value added resellers.

As the company that has developed the code, we maintain the core edition of EMMA. Our value added resellers provide a complete support and maintenance package as part of an ongoing contract and are trained by us to ensure that your business is well supported.

Price

We offer two pricing options for EMMA, the first is a standard enterprise model where you can buy the licence upfront and pay for onging support. The second option allows you to pay a monthly charge with no upfront licence cost allowing you to spread your IT costs. For both options the ongoing monthly charge gives you access to all upgrades as well as support at the end of a line. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide a quote for your requirements. We offer solutions for small practices right up to large multi site clinics.

We do not charge for medical secretaries or other support staff. Licence numbers requirements are based on concurrent users with prices decreasing in volume.

Upgrades

Ongoing minor upgrades to EMMA are free to ensure you are always using the latest version. In addition to minor upgrades we tend to push out major upgrades a few times every year. These major upgrades are often provided free to though Ascensus does retain the right to charge for major upgrades.

Training

Training is available from us or one of our partner companies at a rate of £600/day. Users can usually be trained in under half a day (2 sessions of 1.5 hrs each) and these are best done in groups of 2 Doctors and other practitioners will need less training as they only see a small part of Emma - they do not need training on elements such as Diary Management or Billing.

Customisation

You may find that you would like a part of EMMA customising or a custom report building. Custom coding is available on request and custom reports are billable at £70/hr +VAT.

Hosting

If you run more than 1 clinic, we strongly recommend dedicated hosting in a datacentre. This provides a central point for your clinics to connect to and ensures that your data is protected behind fingerprint scanners and dedicated firewalls. We can provide managed hosting quotes at competitive rates which ensure that you don't ever need to worry about your database or server. This solution is ideal for companies without dedicated IT staff and allows us to take care of your EMMA database for you.

Backups

If you choose our dedicated Hosting service, your system will be automatically backed up to a 'Hot spare' server which means that in the event of a failure, then the spare will automatically kick in. For those who have their own server, we can provide a nightly backup system that sends your entire database to our backup systems as an encrypted file and ensures that it is stored safely. The fee for this is £45/month and we allow you to store up to 50Gb of data.

Please bear in mind that the backup is limited by your upload speed - you will not be able to backup more than approximately 1Gb per night on an ADSL Max line
